I love when it’s time for Valentine’s mini session photos with Mommy Connections Edmonton West! It’s usually in January when the weather in Edmonton is very cold and dark. Nothing perks you like spending a few minutes with a happy baby! My kids are preteens now, and while that comes with more freedoms for me, I do miss the chubby babies they used to be. Thank you to Mommy Connections for continuing to book me as their Edmonton baby photographer!
So, you’re pregnant? Congrats! What an exciting time for you and your growing family. I want you to have beautiful photos to remember this incredible moment in your life. And it’s not just for you but for your baby, when they are older, to see how their mother looked before they were born. Maternity photos are a celebration and I want to celebrate with you!
In 2021, Teagan Photography is offering a FREE mini maternity photography session in Edmonton when you book a newborn session. The maternity session also comes with 10 digital photos of your choice. This special is good for all 2021 due dates! And your spouse and other children (or fur babies) are welcome in the photos too.
For more information or to book your sessions, please send me a message through my contact form! I look forward to photographing your baby bump!
Kayce and Jon are expecting their first child this summer and I am so excited to be able to photograph the before and after! We had a perfect evening at Red Willow Park in St Albert with the warm evening summer sun. While I love the long days of summertime, it can be tricky as a photographer. We want to shoot our sessions at “Golden Hour” as the sun is setting and the colour is beautiful. But in Edmonton in the summertime, sunset is after can be later than 10 pm. Crazy long days up north!
This was a first for me — an Adult Cake Smash photoshoot in Edmonton! I am used to working with kids turning 1. Stacey wanted to celebrate her 35th birthday with cake, champagne, a tutu and the more gorgeous sparkly Christian Louboutin shoes! It was so much fun! Tip: get a bunch of your girlfriends together to watch and cheer you on.

It was a beautiful day for some fun headshots in Old Strathcona.
This beautiful session with my friend Katie and her adorable son was so fun. It was photographed in the most magical place in Edmonton that unfortunately, was plowed under last year to make way for more houses in south Edmonton. I was quite devastated. But I am forever grateful that we both were able to use it for photos.
But there are still so many beautiful locations in Edmonton that can be used. Contact me today to book your family’s summer photography session!
Spring in Edmonton, over the last few years, has been extremely windy. 2020 has been no different. It’s sad because the crab apple tree blossoms (or cherry blossoms as most people call them) blow off the trees after only a short few days. The morning of my maternity photography session with Salem was cold and the wind gusting to 50km/h. Not ideal for photos. As I was prepping to leave a storm starting rolling through. Double not ideal for photos! However, as I drove to the location in the Edmonton river valley, the clouds moved off and the sun came out. It was an absolutely beautiful evening! Salem was joined by her beautiful children, her sister and her parents. Please enjoy these maternity photos at one of Edmonton’s hidden gems for blossoms!
We had the most perfect evening for spring maternity photos in Edmonton with Preeti and her husband. Most of the cherry trees were finished blooming (although they are actually ornamental crabapple trees), but there was one surprise tree at Hawrelak Park that had just blossomed! And, if I can remember, there were no mosquitoes! It was like a photography jackpot. I love the diversity of Hawrelak Park, so many options and different looks for photographs. Preeti welcomed an adorable little boy in early summer. I will share those photos from his Edmonton newborn session soon! And check the Before & After edit at the end of the post. There was an ugly utility box right where the beautiful tree was. I had to take it out!
Also if you are into Geocaching, or looking to try it, Hawrelak Park is a great spot to start. There are a lot of geocaches hidden on the trails and inside the park boundaries. It’s such a fun activity to do with your kids. We keep a trinket filled ziplock bag in the car in case we are out and decide to do some spontaneous geocaching.
